Psst...

Guess what I heard?

You know that free newspaper called METRO. You know the one that

they give out for free on the streets of New York? As it turns out, the paper is not

doing that well and lost a lot of money and the owner wants to sell.

Who the hell could read that small print anyway?

Being with Five Guys is Awesome.

I still can't believe that (me... NY Buzz Girl!) was able to take two at a time!

Yes, that's right. So What? I said it. What was a girl to do with all that meat?

First, some big guy asked if I ever tried it before. I had to be honest and said

"no." Then some girl look at me and said, "Oh you are gonna love it." It's the

best. I was a little apprehensive at first, but everybody was really quite helpful,

so I began to feel more comfortable about what I was about to do.

No one forced me to do anything. I brought one closer to my mouth. It smelled

right, and my body was just craving to have some, So I decided to go all the way.

I did it. I bit right into that fresh ground beef. Damn it was good. "Who cares about

a diet," I thought. That really was a great tasting burger. It's a real

all-American spot for the whole family. That's for sure. Be prepared to spend about

$10 - $12 bucks per person. And let 'em know NY Buzz Girl! told you about it.

Now here's the real buzz...

Five Guys will be opening 30 new locations throughout New York within the next

six to eight months and if they are a publically traded company, NOW would be

the best time to buy stock or invest.

"Buzz... Buzz"

This is what Doug had to say... (Buzz... Buzz)

Bedbug epidemic attacks New York City
BY DOUGLAS FEIDEN
DAILY NEWS STAFF WRITER

Sunday, December 30th 2007, 6:45 PM

A bedbug epidemic has exploded in every corner of New York City - striking even upper East Side luxury apartments owned by Gov. Spitzer's father, the Daily News has learned.

The blood-sucking nocturnal creatures have infested a Park Ave. penthouse, an artist's colony in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, a $25 million Central Park West duplex and a theater on Broadway, according to victims, exterminators and elected officials.

Once linked to flophouses and fleabags, bedbug outbreaks victimize the rich and poor alike and are spreading panic in some of the city's hottest neighborhoods.

"In the last six months, I've treated maternity wards, five-star hotels, movie theaters, taxi garages, investment banks, private schools, white-shoe law firms, Brooklyn apartments in Greenpoint, DUMBO and Cobble Hill, even the chambers of a federal judge," said Jeff Eisenberg, owner of Pest Away Exterminating on the upper West Side.

The numbers are off the charts: In 2004, New Yorkers placed 537 calls to 311 about bedbugs in their homes; the city slapped 82 landlords with bedbug violations, data show.

In the fiscal year that ended in June, 6,889 infestation complaints were logged and 2,008 building owners were hit with summonses.

They must get rid of the pests within 30 days or face possible action in Housing Court, the city Department of Housing, Preservation & Development says.

The scourge has left no section of the city untouched: Complaints and enforcement actions soared in 57 of the 59 community boards.

In the most bedbug-riddled district, Bushwick in Brooklyn, HPD issued 172 violations this year, up from four in 2004; it responded to 476 complaints, up from 47.

Central Harlem chalked up 269 complaints, up from nine. Williamsburg and Greenpoint, home to the city's hippest galleries, racked up 148, up from 11 in 2004. Astoria and Long Island City saw the tally climb to 345 from 41.

Bedbugs come out of the woodwork at night to feed on human blood, biting people in their sleep and leaving large, itchy skin welts that can be painful. They are not believed to carry or transmit diseases.

A surge in global travel and mobility in all socioeconomic classes, combined with less toxic urban pesticides and the banning of DDT created a perfect storm for reviving the critters, which had been virtually dormant since World War II, experts say.

Prolific reproducers and hardy survivors, they can thrive in penthouses, flophouses or any environment where they can locate warm-blooded hosts, said Louis Sorkin, an entomologist at the Museum of Natural History who keeps a colony of 1,000 bedbugs in his office and lets them feed on his arm.

"Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite" - (Buzz... Buzz)

Spa Chicks on the Go supplied free chair massages to those who attended
the finance seminar for women, sponsored by Citigroup Smith Barney at
Penn Plaza. Sources said they had free food, free wine, and free chair
massages, they even gave away free books and scented candles.

The only man in attendance certainly enjoyed himself with all
those women (I'm sure... LOL)

I heard diners are not what they used to be. My sources said they went in to
the Tick Tock Diner located at 481 8th Ave, at 34th St, New York, NY

to order coffee and the waiter gave them dirty looks.

On behalf of friends of my friends who were at the receiving end of those dirty looks,

they only wanted a cup of coffee. They weren't looking to finance the

waiter's entire family.

Apparently, the author of "The Red Dress" posted excerpts of the book that offended many people regarding light-skinned characters verses dark-skinned characters in the book. The feedback only sparked a reaction. That's the way to do it (Keep em hooked), but stop giving so much away for free. Don't you want to sell the book?

When a man can't invite you to where he lives (red flag)
When that same man is always trying to come over to your house with never inviting you to his (red flag)

It's nice when a man feeds you and cooks for you, but when he does it and then lets you
know that you are gaining weight or expresses, "you're getting fat" - that could mean
many things, but one thing that comes to mind is that he now believes no one will want
you but him and feels justified in firming up commitments with the skinny female in his life,
which is obviously not you (red flag)

When a man establishes that he wants you to be his friend. That's fine, but when any other
man shows interest in you other than him, he too will show interest in you beyond "friendship" (Red Flag)
He broke his own rule and is merely cock-blocking.

Even though Shop N Mingle that was held at the National Black Theater needed more things for men like they had advertised that they would, it just wasn't happening for the men guests. Get this... My sources told me that Phenomenal Women had planned to show up to occupy the space on the same floor as the Shop N Mingle but canceled at the last minute and that the type of men with gold fronts really love that group. (Just wondering what kind of mingling that would have been).

Now... I ain't gonna lie. The music and the free liquor at Shop N Mingle was a nice way to spend a Sunday after church.

ABC's talk show "The View" with Barbara Walters has great topics but all the hosts sound like a bunch of doves crying. Obviously the show's image is not as important as pointing out really personal views regarding the length of certain contracts, leaving a bad taste in the mouth of viewers. The well known "them" against "us" betrayal on the show is not particularly a class act. THE VIEW should be renamed "America's Top Cat Fight."

What's all the hoopla with Oprah and Obama? I like Obama, but Obama will not be the next president of the United States. (Picture that).

Oprah is an awesome talk-show host who is notorious for presenting her audience with what she believes can offer them insight from those who are on top in their respective field of exeprtise. Oprah is not a fool - She knows who controls the industry, she knows who controls her industry and Oprah will never bite the hand that feeds her (in all her grand wealth & glory), nor will she allow anyone (even Obama) to disrupt the flow of her success. If nothing more, Obama provides the colorful entertainment that this presidential election and today's audiences love.

This presidential election is well-staged, demanding the attention of everyone, just like the promise of 9/11 or a child being spanked. When Obama is defeated he will have to live up to his commitment of being a true politician and lead his supporters to vote for the person that is meant to win the race in the first place. Be reminded that Oprah is just doing her job like she always does and obviously she's the best in her field. In media advertising its called bait and switch, using two Black O's as the bait.
